The Kirin is a mythical animal sometimes referred to as a unicorn, but it is usually portrayed with two horns that are bent backward. It is a creature of good omen and a symbol of longevity. Our unicorn is ridden by the Goddess of Fecundity. This is often seen in the marriage chamber. Our pendant was made in the 19 th century of coin silver, which is a little less pure than sterling silver.
