This large cabinet comes from ShanXi Province in China. It was made in 1810 and was used to hold a household’s religious items as well as for other storage. The fir wood is lacquered and hand painted. Some restoration work has been done. It has two doors with a 21” opening and an interior shelf and three bottom drawers. The unit measures 65” across, 69” high and 27” deep. This piece is gorgeous!
