Our unframed tiger shoes are from the early 20 th century. We have several pair in different colors. The magenta and green in this pair is particularly striking. Tiger shoes were worn by small boys on special occasions. Wearing them was thought to imbue the child with the qualities of a tiger such as strength, courage and dignity.
