We think that our red bird and flower box was originally used on a desk to hold accessories. It was made in China’s Shan Xi province around 1850. Craftsmen will appreciate the very small dove tail joinery in this piece. It has been restored. The box measures 15.6” long x 8” high x 9.75” deep. I keep a box like this near the TV to hold all of the remote controls.
